| This is a course that is best delivered to exam candidates about six weeks before the exam is due to be sat. It can be designed to be programmed over half a day or a day.
Exam taking is a psychological experience. The well prepared candidate will be aware of this and have a personalised game plan for it. They will be tutored to approach the exam room with control and confidence, thus significantly improving their chances of passing. This requires an all-round understanding of what examiners want, together with the techniques to positively influence markers and moderators in the allocation of crucial marks. It is about so much more than just tipping up on the day having crammed through to the early hours. The way to maximise chances of success is to increase positivity, as well as holistically prepare for the experience.
This ‘holistic’ approach includes mental attitude, control of the exam environment, diet and nutrition and physical preparation, as well as designing and testing an effective exam ‘flight plan’. The key is to do best questions whilst in ‘their zone’ and answer questions in the order that serves them whilst always maintaining control of time.
The course also focuses on tuning memory to respond quickly in the exam room, mixing it with key examination techniques.
The final piece of the jigsaw is to give markers precisely what they want, in the way they want it, ensuring that any available marks are nailed down and banked.
